    The 2025 Sewickley Spring League (SSL) season is upon us! Last night, in a smoke-filled room, all 80 members of the 2025 Sewickley Spring League were drafted amongst the 6 teams. Expect to receive a welcome email from your captain if you haven’t already. Check out the teams page to see where everyone ended up.

    Just like last year, we will be fielding as many lines as we can each week and ALL lines will count for the standings to determine the 2 teams that play for the championship (as long as a floater sub wasn’t used).

    Check out the schedule and mark your calendars to make sure family events don’t encroach on the best thing going in Western Pennsylvania. See you on the courts!

    The Sewickley Spring League 2024 Championship teams have been determined!

    Semi-finals Recap

    Going into week 7, the Haymakers had sewn up the top position, so the only question remaining was: who would they face in the first blended-team Sewickley Spring League Championship?

    The Cox Slashers faced Duncan’s Donuts at the YMCA in the semi-final match Thursday night. The winner would face the Haymakers in the finals. On paper, the Slashers had a signficant advantage, but the Donuts pulled out all the stops and secured a spot in the finals with a 5-4 team win.

    Finals Preview

    Next Thursday (May 23rd) at Edgeworth Club, the Haymakers go toe-to-toe with Duncan’s Donuts. Both the Haymakers and Duncan’s Donuts have only one loss and one tie in the regular season. The Haymakers dealt the Donuts their only loss (7-4) in their head-to-head matchup in week 4.

    Come on out to cheer on your favorite team at Edgeworth Club starting at 7:30pm or swing by after your team’s matches at Allegheny and the YMCA in our last week of Spring League 2024.

    Sewickley Spring League 2024 has arrived! 6 teams will do battle tonight at all 3 Sewickley clubs. Check the schedule page to make sure you know where your team is playing tonight.

    Matches start at 7:30pm (feel free to come earlier to warm up!). Lines 1-4 will start first with lines 5 and 6 to follow (if available) unless otherwise noted by your team captains.

    There will be no food provided during Spring League, so don’t come hungry!

    After a rainy start to the week, it looks like we’ve lucked out with the weather and it’s going to be a perfect evening for paddle.
